Our mission is to break down systemic barriers in medicine by providing mentorship, resources, and opportunities that inspire and support the next generation of Black medical professionals. As the Head of the Department of Critical Care at The Ottawa Hospital, Dr. Kwadwo Kyeremanteng is a beacon of leadership and innovation. He's the creator of the transformative Solving Healthcare podcast and the author of "Unapologetic Leadership: Finding The Moral Courage To Do The Right Thing." Dr. Kwadwo's journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to improving healthcare and supporting the next generation of Black physicians.

Dr. Christina Romulus
A dedicated hospitalist at Queensway-Carleton Hospital, Dr. Christina Romulus is also the owner of Dr. Christina Cosmetic MD and a faculty member at the University of Ottawa medical school. Her multifaceted career showcases her passion for medicine and her drive to inspire and mentor Black medical students. Dr. Christina's work is a powerful example of breaking barriers and fostering excellence in healthcare.

Patricia Burhunduli
Patricia Burhunduli is making history as the first Black MD/PhD candidate at the University of Ottawa medical school. With an MSc in Neuroscience from uOttawa, she is the founder of Medicine in Colour and a driving force behind uOttawa’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Mentorship Group. Patricia's pioneering spirit and dedication to creating inclusive spaces in medicine are truly inspiring.
